I like this Wal-Mart. The shoe selection isnt great as well as the jewelry but many other things are inexpensive and the staff is helpful.
I find their clothing section terrible for women who are plus sizes. It's cheap looking and no variety. Food prices are great and people are usually friendly.
It's Walmart. If I can get what I need at a Canadian owned company, especially a locally owned small business, I will, even if the price tag is higher. I prefer to keep my money in Canada. The service here is often grumpy. I've encountered a downright condescendingly rude attitude on one occasion, and several times I've searched for help only to find employees chatting together. I'm too polite to interrupt a conversation, even if it shouldn't be happening. The store is often a mess, too, and it can be difficult to determine the price of things because not all items are in the right spot with prices clearly labelled. This really is a last-resort stop for me.
A very clean and spacious Walmart. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The cash employee was very friendly and very fast at processing all of our purchases. I have no complaints about the place other than some sections like the kids book section were a lot smaller than what I have found in other Walmarts in the province. Overall a good store though.
I enjoy price matching just about anything I can. I love that they price match all of Ontario grocery stores. Most of their veggies are great but fruit can be hit or miss especially if it's out of season. The organic section is growing which is also nice to see. There's a decent variety of everything else including non food items.
