Very slip shod attempt at being progressive. Everything from programs and activities and facilities to borrowing materials possesses a 'not quite finished' feel. I would guess a board meeting consists of throwing darts at ideas while thoroughly intoxicated. The staff I encounter appear completely self serving. If you don't belong to their social club they don't have time to provide you with quality service. I definitely would not leave the safety of my children in their hands as this seems to be an area of concern. Regardless of how unprofessional they may be they are not intended as babysitters. Of course ymmv.

Full of so many good books! Very organized and clean. It has many helpful resources, and is quiet, but busy. Staff is very polite.

They have ok services an ok staff but you need an address in st. Thomas to access anything and apperently now if you owe them money you cant get on the internet and if you have ever been too or lived in St. Thomas not many people have money. Food banks and stores are to far from where poor people actually live busses are unreliable and don't go where you need them to go an cost more then most large city's.

haven't been here for awhile but when i do go, its an amazing experience. the staff are kind and caring and help you browse for what you need.

BIG EDIT: My sister no longer feels safe bringing my nephews to the library because of the ramped and obvious drug use happening there. It is a sad, sad day when you no longer feel safe bringing kids to THE LIBRARY in your city.Do better St.Thomas. -Wonderful library, surprisingly great selection of not only books, but also other services offered, especially for a city this size. Also the staff are all super friendly and helpful.
